Reducing Energy Poverty Commitment through Joule Cube

Joule chamber has established a separate business unit called “Joule Cube”. Funding is raised through grants, donations, likeminded organisations, philanthropists, individuals, and Governments and we seek collaborations that promote knowledge, information, and support for our vision.

Joule Cube provides the technology royalty free, and all business unit profits are reinvested towards reducing operational costs and increasing the supply of energy storage devices available.

Joule Cube Mission Statement

Pursue solutions for individuals, families & communities suffering from world energy poverty with subsidised innovative mechanical energy storage technology that incorporates practical, real-world applications to improve the lives of the users.

Describe Joule Cube

Describe Joule Cube

Joule Cube is a multi-usable space holding large & small, interconnected Joule Chambers designed for purpose with useful connecting apparatus.  Immediate and powerful mechanical energy designed to provide daily energy for a family with ability to be modular for communities, all off grid.

Below items are proposed for inclusion in first community prototype design for testing.

  • Physical size expectation – 1000mm x 1000 mm x 1500mm
  • Primary mechanical energy storage unit.
  • Secondary interconnected mechanical storage units. (role specific)
  • General storage space
  • Solar panels
  • Charging motor
  • Generator / Motor

  • Provide deep vacuum

Converting energy for useful purposes

Conversion of energy between forms.

Our technology converts energy between forms making it useful and bespoke.

A small example of energy possibilities and conversion.

  • Receive mechanical energy, store that energy, then utilise the energy in its mechanical form to reduce the losses of electrical conversion.
  • Use green energy to power pneumatic power tools. (It’s like a battery and compressor in one)
  • Receive stopping power from a vehicle, store that energy to and use the stored energy to start a combustion motor (It’s like a battery and a motor in one).
  • Receive energy from solar, build a reserve then power tools for agricultural work.
  • Receive energy from livestock mass or effort, convert using a generator to recharge your phone and receive light.
  • Capturing energy from human physical activity and converting effort to remove air from food storage spaces to increase the shelf life of food.
  • Utilise renewably sourced energy to create a vacuum space for housing waste.
  • Leave at water hole for solar charging and remotely control pumping as desired. (Battery/water pump solutions to hydrate communities).
  • Charged by livestock hauling a wagon and use the energy to power agricultural tools.
  • Supply power to customised mechanical kitchen and workshop appliances. (Appliances made for mechanical operation have gearing and mechanical moving parts only. No motors, electronics, conventional batteries, or power leads).
  • Joule Cube has one large Joule Chamber for energy storage that typically operates on a single cycle. (Charge to empty) The larger storage controls distribution to smaller purpose designed joule chambers operating in rapid cycles. (Pumping, air-compression, rotation, motion, lift, heating)
  • Large and smaller Joule Chambers are connected using high and low-pressure air connections and through direct gearing transferring energy between devices in line with demand. This provides huge opportunity for multiple use devices used simultaneously.

How does Joule Chamber compare against the alternatives?

Joule Chamber does not have direct alternatives due to the multi-functionality of the technology. It doesn’t have direct alternatives and it’s new to the market, further development opportunities for cost reductions and practical solutions are incredible.

  • Battery – While a battery has advantages regarding energy density comparisons, Joule Chambers are cheaper, does not require chemical reaction. It’s non-toxic, doesn’t require precious metals and can be manufactured in developing nations. Additionally, with a spare part kit, it’s repairable by unqualified individuals with basic tools.
  • Pump – Against a pump it has advantages being an energy storage bank that can work as a pump without a motor.
  • Refrigeration – A great hybrid for refrigeration by using its vacuum technology to lower refrigerators air pressure making cheaper to cool while prolonging food shelf life (Some exception).
  • Motor – Joule Chambers hold advantages over many motors being both a motor and a battery in one. No traditional batteries, combustible fuel or power connections are required. As a hybrid to motors Joule Chambers could provide high torque and trickle charging storage supporting larger motors to be replaced with smaller motors.
  • Environmental – Joule Chamber is made using noncorrosive and non-environmentally damaging raw materials. Additionally, we supply spare parts and instruction providing long life cycles for harsh conditions.
